Scott Lucas is widely recognized as the singer and guitarist for the two-man Chicago rock band, Local H.
When making solo records, he collaborates with a group of musicians known as the Married Men,
which at times includes as many as seven members and features instruments such as violin and organ.
Reviewers have likened the band's sound to that of American Music Club, Wilco, the Waterboys, and Nick Cave.
Lucas describes the group's evolving sound as "country-ish, alt-rock for people who like metal."

In 2022, the Married Men reunited for performances at Empty Bottle, the Skokie Backlot Bash,
and opening slots for The Tossers at their Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration at Metro in Chicago.
These shows inTRODUCED long-time friend and band-mate Pat McIntyre on acoustic guitar,
as well as Pat's daughter, CeCe McIntyre, on violin, who have now become permanent members of
The Married Men.
